Fabricated by our metalsmith in Portland, Oregon, the universal hive stand expands to fit Warre hives, 8-frame Langs, and 10-frame Langs. Made of galvanized steel with stainless steel hardware this heavy, sturdy base will come in handy, minimizing surface for ants to crawl up, keeping your bees away from predators, and getting your hives off the damp or cold ground.

Q: Will my hive fit?
A: Almost certainly. The Universal Hive Stand is made to fit any standard Langstroth or Warre hive. If your hive is extra wide, check the width ranges below to be sure:

8 frame width range: 11"-14.44"
10 frame width range: 13"-16.44"

Note: if your hive is undersized (more than 1" clearance on both sides), it would be wise to put blocks on either side to prevent sliding.

Tall Stand

10F top platform is 16½” wide x 19¾” deep.
10F base is 25½” wide x 19¾” deep.

8F top platform is 14½” wide x 19¾” deep.
8F base is 23½” wide x 19¾” deep.

Height adjustment is from 22½” to 23½” (min to max).

Short Stand

10F & 8F top platforms are the same as the Tall Stand.
10F base is 21” wide x 19¾” deep.

8F base is 19” wide x 19¾” deep.

Height adjustment is from 10½” to 11½” (min to max).

Well build - my warre hive base fits in well

Sturdy, well built - I like the adjustable legs - will probably use some grease to prevent ants getting up.
Just need to set up in the field now.

Tall hive stand

This is my 3rd tall hive stand. Very easy to assemble. I like being able to raise the back in case any water is in the bottom. It makes the water flow out the front. Thanks for another great product.

Works well, sturdy. I had to improvise with it a bit as I don’t have a Lang hive but I put some boards across it and it works great for my octagonal hive.

Quality stand. What really sets this hive stand apart is the adjustable feet. This really made leveling the hive incredibly easy.
