I got my first top bar hive probably 15 years ago from Bee Thinking. Other than a bit of rot at the end of the legs from ground contact, it is still in good shape. I just purchased my second TBH from Bee Built. I was not disappointed. Bee Built has continued the same high-quality product and has excellent customer care. The customer-oriented staff answered email my questions within 48 hours both prior to and after my purchase. The step-by-step building instructions are easy to follow for even a novice do-it-yourselfer. As you put it together, you appreciate the quality stainless steel hardware and wooden pieces built to last. The high quality western red cedar box looks so rich and beautiful with the tung oil finish. The finished hive itself is very sturdy. I think it is as much beautiful "yard art" as it is a beehive I will be using for years to come. The price may make you hesitate, but the quality of these hives it worth it all around. Based on my previous TBH purchase (and numerous subsequent Warre hive purchases), you will have strong beekeeping hardware that outlasts the less expensive stuff by years.

I use this hive tool to fill my beetle traps with food grade diatomaceous earth. It fits perfectly inside the trap compartments when dispensing the diatomaceous earth. No need to put a bait in the center compartment as the bees heard the Beatles into the trap.

Bought this for a gift. Was a little worried about the quality, because it was significantly cheaper than other sites omg, the fabric is very nice. The hat also very nice. Great quality. My sister was very happy with her gift.

I have been a bee keeper 49 years my dad was one old school always had solid bottoms I started using screen bottoms no luck with them switched them over to solid bottoms all popular wood doing well help a old school man in Bryson city he was 96 years old when he passed had 83 hives all solid bottoms some hives were 75 years old no problems that tells us something would you say good hives
