Our Lang nucleus boxes are made using our FSC® certified, sustainable Douglas Fir and Sugar Pine. Choose from deep or medium size (medium nucleus boxes include two boxes rather than one). Floor and roof are included. Frames are sold separately.

Perfect for splits, swarm catching, and overwintering nucleus colonies. Easily transfers between either your deep or medium Langstroth hive. Every beekeeper should keep a nucleus box within arm's reach during swarm season!

Simple and Easy

Ordered the NUC and got it in about a week. Looks great, easy to handle, and it's already outside trying to bait some honey bees!

Hasn't been used yet, but it is awaiting a swarm which could happen at any time. As yet unanswered question is the advisability of the two separate boxes, as a nuc box might very well spend some time in a van or car trunk, and if occupied, would need to be secured together in some manner
